Pastor Kristen Patterson was born on December 21 to Pastor Henry J Green Jr and L’Tanya Green. Kristen’s life was dedicated by her parents bac to the Lord. From the early years, Pastor Patterson was practicing her gift with whatever she could turn into microphone. Kristen was raised in the Baptist church and as a preacher’s kid. Kristen accepted Christ as her Lord in December 1991 during an evening service where her parent were the presiders. She was baptized few weeks later by her father. The teaching in the Baptist doctrine was further solidified in her attendance at Riverdale Baptist High School.
Attendance at Riverdale was instrumental in Pastor Patterson’s knowledge of the scriptures. Having to memorize a verse per week and daily classes dedicated to the Bible of which Kristen was an Honors Bible student, Created a knowledge basis for her unshakable belief that God is Everything that he says he is and then some. As she grew in relationship to God. She knew there was something to relationship and in 2008 she found that something more. In attendance at a service at the Temple Of Praise. Kristen was filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Pastor Patterson was licensed on May 8, 2021 as an Elder.
Pastor Kristen M. Patterson is the wife of Pastor Tonnie Patterson Jr. Mother of Jordyn, Kaleb, Tonnie III, and Dorrian. She attended the University of Carolina-Greensbro, where she obtained a bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and was initiated as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She received her Master in business Administration from the University of Maryland University College. she is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Pastoral Theology at Andersonville Theological Seminary. Mrs Patterson is skilled trainer and facilitator having provided such services for government agencies, local and national conferences and social services entities. Her slate of training topics include: positive youth development, leadership, strategic planning, program management, leadership development, program development, workforce development, and financial strategy. She has shared stages with country officials, modern day spiritual leaders, and our former first lady, Michelle Obama.
In 2016 Mrs Patterson published her first book entitled, “The Place Called Next”. She is Founder and CEO of Intuit Consultants. Kristen has served in managerial capabilities in some of the area’s top non-profit agencies. She has worked with at-risk youth, the homeless population, and the elderly in the acquisition and maintenance of affordable housing and workforce readiness skills. Throughout her professional career, Kristen has facilitated the startup and oversight of 2 group homes, a 12 unit family housing program, and a homeless to housing program that successfully placed over 200 men, women and families in affordable housing.
She is currently employed by the Maryland Department of Labor where she oversee the state-wide Youth and Disability Services under the federal Workforce innovation and Opportunity Act. She serves as a Board Member at United Communities Against Poverty, Inc. In 2020, she received a Governor’s Appointment to the Maryland Advisory Council on Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
In February of 2022, the spirit of the Lord dropped the birthday of a Ministry into Pastor Patterson’s belly. The Lord Called Pastor Patterson into a period of daily prayer at a specific time of the day. During this time, God would share the vison for the birthing of The Place Ministries. Once Pastor Patterson shared the vision with her husband and her father, she received the supportive confirmation that she needed to begin the process of developing this new ministry. God has contributed to unveil the details and plans for launching this Kingdom focused, multimedia, and marketplace ministry. As The Place Ministries moves toward its launch date. Pastor Patterson continues to listen for God’s leading and direction in every aspect of planting this ministry.
Pastor Kristen is passionate about seeing people become better. Whenever it is through the utilization of her gifts of preaching, teaching, prophesying, or praying or through her knowledge acquired professionally or in academia. She is anointed, assigned, and appointed for such a time as this
Pastor Tonnie Patterson Jr. is the eldest son of Tonnie Patterson Sr. and Dorrian Murray Patterson. He was born on September 27, 1979. He is the husband of Pastor Kristen Patterson. Together they have four children Dorrian Patterson, Tonnie Patterson III, Jordyn Green, and Kaleb Patterson. He has two younger brothers Dwayne Patterson (Deceased), Trevor Barley.
Pastor Tonnie Patterson Jr grew up in Washington DC where he attended the DC Public Schools and graduated from McKinley Tech Senior High School. He is currently enrolled at Walden University on the way to receiving his Bachlor Degree in Human Services with a Concentration in Child and Adolescence Development.
Pastor T received Jesus at the early age of 9. He attended the Highway Church of Jesus under the leadership of Overseer Geneva Rious. Under this leadership, he received the Holy Ghost tarring around the altar under the assistance of the mother’s of the church. He was also baptized by Overseer Rious in 1991.
Pastor T has held several positions within the church. He widely renouned as a dynamic drummer, he was on the usher board, a great choir director, a mighty and powerful devotional leader with the ability to usher the presence of the lord in any service. Pastor T is a praiser he loves to praise God in a dance and worship in song. In June 2000, he was Ordained as an Elder by the Late Overseer Geneva Rious. After the passing of Overseer Rious, Apostle Michelle Williams took over the ministry and changed the name of the church to Greater Deliverance Tabernacle COG. Pastor T served alongside Apostle Williams and many have witnessed the spiritual bond that they shared throughout the years. Pastor T served as the senior Elder then moved to serve as the Associate Pastor. Pastor T served there until God called Apostle Michelle Williams home. He now serves as the Overseer of the The Place Ministies where him and Pastor Patterson are leading this awesome Kingdom ministry in the way that God is leading them.
